Luxval vase model Picardie
Rosaline Art Deco vase from the Luxval line produced by Val Saint Lambert, model Picardie, N° 80 in the catalogue of 1935. In very good condition.
In the 1930s, Val-Saint-Lambert launched the LUXVAL collection to keep up with the competition. This no longer had anything to do with cut crystal, which was considered too expensive and a little out of fashion at the time. The LUXVAL is made of glass, crystal or semi-crystal, is moulded and less well finished. It often has small defects (bubbles, hairlines, etc...), typical of the early VSL LUXVAL production. It is only a few years later that the quality improved.
Val-Saint-Lambert destroyed the moulds, which means that these objects are particularly sought after by collectors and will be more and more so in the future.
