Chiavari chair brown
Mid-Century Modern chair made in Italy in the 1950s. Cane, wood, beach. Wear consistant with age and use. In very good and fully original condition!
The chairs is extremely light, it weighs about 1kg 850! At the same time it is very resistant.
This model is called PARIGINA (Parisienne).
Chiavari or Chiavarina chairs were designed by Guiseppe Gaetano Descalzi in 1807. The chairs were handmade by Fratelli Zunino and Rivarola in Chiavari in the early 1950s.
The natural lacquered frames made of solid beech features intricately carved and turned details in the spindle backrest and front legs. The chair retains it's original finely woven cane.
